A Good Visit!

Two blogs in one day....I had to catch up! We absolutely loved having Grammy and Papa down for a visit. We tried to keep busy with the girls. Grammy was able to watch Addison ride her bike. So here are some pics from our walks and dinner at the Moore home. We love you, Grammy and Papa!

Biker Chick

Addison got a new bike for Christmas. The weather has been just nice enough to practice riding. We drive to Kathy Moore's house and put Payton in a stroller and then let Addison go wild. She has done well. She can pedal pretty fast and she is really good at using her brakes. She has only crashed twice - the second crash was a good one. But she was tough and after a few tears she was back up in the saddle riding down the road! I call her my little Lance or the Biker Chick! If the weather is good enough after our ride we usually try and play on the Monster Castle. The girls are becoming very fond of the tire swing. It is such a joy to watch them grow and play....they love to play!

STEPH-funny!

Aunt Stephanie was able to visit us last week. She came down for some much needed moral support and of course to see the girls. She was in for a sickening surprise. For most of the week, Addison, Payton, and I were sick. Let me say that again....we were sick. Like on the couch, can't move, fever, cough, flu, the whole shebang sick. Poor Aunt Stephanie! She turned out to be a nurse/maid! But, we loved having her with us. She did a lot for this little family! We miss her and can't wait for her to visit us again. Hopefully, next time we will not be sick AND the stresses of our life will be under control! Pray! Pray! Pray! Thanks, AUNT STEPHANIE!

Moore Fun!

My friend, Kathy Moore, has been such a sweetheart during these past few months. We TRY (Usually, I flake!) to walk every morning, she calls me throughout the day to check up on me, stops by, feeds us, watches the girls when I need to do "adult" stuff, AND introduces me to exotic foods.......SUSHI! I absolutely adore her and am so grateful for all that she does for my little family! These pictures were taken at her house. Addison and Payton love to play on her computer, clean her house (For money; I've taught them well.....ha-ha), and feed her cat, Novocain. Kathy also loves to correct our grammer whenever we err. A habit I am sure that mom would approve of!

Fruit Loops!

Church was cancelled today because of weather and power outage. I was looking forward to an afternoon of leisure and relaxation. It started out very well. We worked on several puzzles and played dolls. I worked my way over to the couch in the afternoon for a quick nap. That is when I heard the sound of breakfast cereal...specifically, fruit loops. The three of them, (I am including Miles, because he looked as guilty as they did, when I rounded the corner to the kitchen.) thought they were pretty cool - all I could do is laugh and get the shop vac.

The End

I write this post with much sadness. After 2 years of dating and 4 years 9 months of marriage, my husband filed for divorce. It was the worst day of my life. My emotions have been up and down, as any wife in love with her husband would feel. My heart aches but mostly for Addison and Payton - they are the ones that will suffer the most. It still feels so surreal; like I will wake up from a bad dream and find him sleeping next to me. But I will survive and be better for it. My two treasures will also survive and will know what it is like to be strong by watching my example. My plans are to move back to Fallon and get a teaching job. I have a great support system there; people who understand that this is an emotional time and that is okay and normal to be emotional. Lots of things in my life will change but change is a good thing. I am excited for the challenge and the good the things that will come out of it. I know that my Heavenly Father hears my prayers and is aware of my heartache. He comforts me and strengthens me. He gives me friends and family who lift me up and help me. I am so grateful for his blessings and I know if I do what is right and keep the faith all will work out.

"Put your trust in God. It isn't as bad as you sometimes think it is. It all works out. Don't worry. I say that to myself every morning. It will all work out. Put your trust in God, and move forward with faith and confidence in the future. The Lord will not forsake us. He will not forsake us. If we will put our trust in Him, if we will pray to Him, if we will live worthy of His blessings, He will hear our prayers." President Hinckley

This is the end.
